Jennifer Blackwood, the owner and president of Business Health Matters Inc., has over 25 years of experience in the health care field.

A registered nurse with a specialty in occupational health she is certificated in the following;
Clinical research
Emotional intelligence
Stress mapping and stress intervention techniques
Project management
Health and productivity
Drug and Alcohol Screening
Health and Safety

As the Manager of Health and Wellness for J.D. Irving Limited, her prevention and health programs were recognized nationally with an award from the Canadian Health Care for “Who’s who in healthcare” in the workplace.

She had a research article published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Spoken at local and national conferences regarding the success of her programs and the importance of best health practices with the business community.

Taught at the University of New Brunswick on subjects such as “leadership and health” and “the health of the aging workforce”.

A member of the Nurses Association of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia

The Association of Occupational Health Nurses

A volunteer with the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.

When not at work, Jennifer enjoys outdoor activities such as walking, tennis and kayaking, as well as spending time with her friends and family.
